A Very Merry Brown Christmas!

Seeing Christmas through a 2-year-old and 8-month-old's eyes is like no other...you can see the magic of Christmas again, and you start to forget the crowds at the store, your bank account dwindling, and how much you paid to overnight that special gift so you could get it in time. It's all about giving, and cookies, and singing songs, saying goodnight on Christmas Eve knowing you'll wake up to gifts in the morning. I want that version of Christmas back!

So...we always open gifts from family on Christmas Eve...this year was a little different because I had to work that night and Mike had to work that day. :( To work around this, the kids got up at 6:00ish on Christmas Eve so we decided to open them before Mike left for work at 7:30. This feat required quite a lot of coffee but we got it done, and had a blast doing it.

Princess Allie...peas and carrots, carrots and peas!

Because I had to work, I missed our annual extended family O'Connor Christmas Eve party that was hosted this year by Ann. I was so sad, and missed everyone! Here are some pics they took for me...

I got off work earlier than I expected that night (I was estatic!!!) so I got home early enough to put out milk, cookies, and carrots with Allie and to say goodnight to the girls before they went to bed and we started assembling...we finally made it to bed around 1:00am.
Christmas morning! Santa came!

She kept saying she needed to go to Costco...
