Our vaca in Maui!!

In case you didn't know we were in Maui last week! It was wonderful...you get used to the kick back lazy beach lifestyle very quickly! This is one vacation where you come back feeling truly refreshed. This was our second time there but the first time with Allie. It was great seeing everything through her eyes. She didn't quite get used to the waves splashing on her feet but she loved the water when we were holding her and from afar. On the lanai it was always "wa-wa" and pointing to the ocean. She would say "bee" (beach) and then say "wa-wa" constantly! She loved playing in the sand, going to the pool, walking around our beautiful complex, drinking POG, eating pineapple, and looking at the moon and stars at night - so much clearer without the smog. She could totally be a Maui baby!

We stayed at Kamaole Sands in Kihei which I would very much recommend. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom fully updated condo with a full ocean view lanai. They even had kid beach toys and dishes for Allie. We went to the beach, drove to Lahaina for a boat ride, hung out at the condo on the lanai, bought pineapple from a roadside stand, tried quite a few local restaurants...needless to say it was an awesome trip!! Allie loved looking the koi fish in the pond. One day on our way to the pool the lady let her feed them. From then on we always had to see the fishies! She even said "bye fishies", her first two word combo!

The boat ride to see dolphins

This was awesome! We took off from Lahaina harbor in West Maui. Allie loved it too! She kept saying "whoa" when we hit a big wave. Then on our way back after seeing dolphins and sea turtles she fell asleep. Then we ate at a little place after getting off the boat and Allie got spaghetti face!

Maui Ocean Center Aquarium (Maalaea Harbor)

Oh my goodness....Allie loved, no, LOVED this place! She was running around and pointing say fish, fish, fish! She even learned the color yellow and would point to all the yellow fish. At the end there was a tunnel where you were surrounded by fish. There were sharks and mantarays right over our head! It was expensive to get in but it was awesome!
