Our Escape to Bodega Bay!

This past weekend we escaped the valley and went to the coast…Bodega Bay here we come! It was gorgeous and so relaxing! Allie peacefully napping on the bed, Mike and I relaxing on our deck looking at the water…can it get any better?

Wake up Daddy!

We hung out with Ann, Michael, Ashley and Alexa on Sunday for a nice walk on the beach and some dinner. I had shrimp enchiladas, very yummy! Then we watched the sunset!



Allie slept for part of our walk but she wasn’t too happy when she woke up – she doesn’t like being cold, tired, and having the sun glaring down all at the same time but who does right?! So she walked with Mama most of the time.

On Monday we went to Bodega Head (a piece of land that sticks out from the mainland) and took a nice little hike! The prize was amazing panoramic ocean views!

On our way home we had to stop at the water one more time! Allie loved the beach this time around! She was actually digging a hole in the sand. She was so enthralled with it she wouldn’t even lift her head to say cheese!

Among other news...Allie is no longer toothless! She got her first tooth, the right middle bottom one. She was sucking on my thumb and I felt something sharp. Sure enough, a tooth had finally broken through!
