6 months old today!

WOW!! Here I am sounding like a broken record...I cannot believe how fast time is flying by!

Allison Rose is 6 months old, halfway to 1 year old! She is 16 pounds, 12.5 ounces and 26" tall. Her doctor said she is developing perfectly! As you can see from her food list she has become quite the eater. She is loving chicken or turkey mixed with veggies, but won't eat any green veggie by itself. She is starting to be interested in us drinking from cups so we may try a sippy cup soon. As of today she is: rolling over one way (back to tummy), sitting up mostly on her own, smiling and laughing constantly, saying goo-goo among other baby sayings, and loves to stand on people's laps. She loves riding in shopping carts and being the center of attention wherever we go! During tummytime she is starting to move her legs a lot but has not yet figured out how to get up on her knees.

I used to think there was no good reason anyone would want to get out of bed before 9:00 in the morning on the weekend. Well, now I have a reason! Allison is the sunshine of my life, my reason for living. My love for her spans depths inside of me that I didn't know existed. Your whole perspective on life changes when you become a parent. You take the bad things you hear on the news a little more personal. You stop to smell the roses a little bit more. You notice just how red and beautiful that apple is when you show it to your baby at the grocery store. You notice the light breeze blowing as you are taking a walk with the baby in the stroller. You go through life a little slower, a little better. So here she is 6 months old - ready to take on the world with a little help from Mama and Daddy.

Okay, let's move on from the sappy stuff and look at some adorable pictures of Allie! We got these done yesterday for this momentous occasion! (If you would like prints of any of them let me know. Don't try to print these, they are scans and will probably print in bad quality.)

In other news, Mom and I saw the musical, Jersey Boys, on Sunday! It was awesome! If you ever get the chance to go, GO! It is funny and of course features the great songs of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons! We got season tickets this year (yeah!) so I will be giving you reviews of the plays we see.

PS. I wanted to pay tribute to the families and friends of the victims of 9/11/01. I prayed for you today for God to give you the strength to remember that day not for revenge but in fond rememberance of your loved ones.
PPS. If you are having trouble with the site loading, please email me at desiree916@gmail.com. I have heard others are having trouble so I want to see if it is happening to everyone.
